Lubricating a Pneumatic Air Tool
We’ve seen a lot of tools coming into our service department lately that are very dry inside. I’d like to explain a simple method of oiling your pneumatic tools.
First, disconnect the airline and then, using a 5w or 10w NON-DETERGENT oil such as our Paslode Lubricating Oil p/n 403720, add one or two drops into the air nipple.
This small amount of oil used on a daily basis will really help keep the tool running on the jobsite longer and extend the life of your tools by reducing the wear of the o-rings on internal metal parts. While you have the oil bottle handy, add a drop to the air coupler too.
